Teleseminars – Using Your Sig File in Forums For Visibility

More every day experts are finding forums a great way to promote their teleseminars. I am a proponent of participating in only a few forums you can post to on a regular basis rather than dozens you have no time for. A great way to increase your telseminar visibility is to effectively use your sig file (SF or signature file) at the end of your postings.
Depending on the type of forum, you may be able to use the same SF for each one or you may want to write unique sig files for each.

You want to use something that will encourage people to click on a link that takes them back to a landing page to opt in for a free teleseminar. This needs to be a part of your overall marketing strategy.

However, you do need to know what the rules of the forum are. Do they allow SF? Can you add a link in the SF? Can you change your sig file as often as you want?

Here are two examples of a sig file promoting a free teleseminar:

Example One

Discover #1 Secret to Making $500, $1,000, and more per/mo. with the Knowledge You Already Have. FREE teleseminar on (date). Register at (URL).

Example Two

Learn 3 Behavior Methods Master Dog Trainers Don’t Want To Share. Train your dog to sit, stay and come on command. FREE teleseminar on (date). Register at (URL).

What you put in your signature file is up to you, but use the space wisely. Periodically change the wording in order to keep it fresh. Make sure to change it out when your teleseminar is over.

As with any part of marketing this is one of many strategies that you can use to enhance your overall position for you and your teleseminars.

SEO Edmonton: Post Algorithm Strategies That Still Work Today

Thanks to search engine algorithms, internet users are increasingly finding it easy to look for what they want online. These algorithms have, however, changed the rules governing SEO Edmonton. All low-quality sites have been de-ranked in favor of sites that give value to their visitors. There are strategies that still work even after the algorithms. These strategies include the following.
1. Post Algorithm Keywords

Previously, search engines were only looking at the keyword in the pages of a website. Today, the search engines align websites based on the intent of the search rather than the keywords alone. Don’t get this wrong: the keywords are still important. However, what you need to do is look for a larger pool of niche-specific phrases that your target audience is using to search for products that you offer.

2. Your Site Structure

The importance of a streamlined URL site structure cannot be overemphasized. It is extremely important that the URLs and the links on your site are functional and consistent. Keep them short and precise. Additionally, make sure that your inbound and outbound links are not broken. When looking for links, go for those from authority sites in the industry. Take care not to stuff your site with links as it will hurt your site ranking.

3. The Back Links

Every expert in SEO Edmonton will tell you of the importance of niche relevant backlinks. There are a few ways through which you can earn high quality, relevant links to your site.

• Editorial links which refer to links from media and other leadership article mentions of your business to your site. • Co citations refer to mentions and links to your site alongside those of authoritative sites in your industry.

These mentions make search engines relate your site with the authority businesses in your industry, thereby ranking you higher in your industry

4. Site Security

It is important to have secure encryptions for your site. It not only boosts trust and credibility with your target audience especially if it is an ecommerce site, it is also a ranking factor. A secure encryption allows your visitors to share information on safe platforms. Such information includes logins, email and personal contacts, and if it is an ecommerce site, the visitors may share account and credit card details. Most effective SEO Edmonton strategies are simple and common sense, yet not as easy. They require time and expertise. However, if done right, they always pay off handsomely. So, in order to get the best out of your search marketing strategy, you need to have sound strategies based on accurate data.

Is Social Media Really Worth It for a Small Business?

As a business owner and solopreneur, it’s really important to know that the time, energy, and resources you invest in your business provides a generous return on investment.
Social media platforms are a powerful tool that can help you market your business, but unless you know how to use it to generate tangible ROI for your business, is it really worth it?

This article will provide you with a clear breakdown of all the information you need to make the best decision for your business.

How Much Time Does Social Media Require?

Even though having social media accounts is free (unless you spend money on ads), that doesn’t mean there are no costs associated to using these platforms to your benefit.

Since time costs money to business owners, let’s look at the amount of time the average business owner spends on social media.

According to a survey by Vertical Response, about 43 percent of small businesses spend about 6 hours per week on social media.

Writing and posting a weekly blog post can take 1-3 hours to do. So this means it takes a full day to write, schedule, and post to social media plus write and post a blog article each week.

This is assuming you, the business owner would be doing everything required to fulfil these two marketing tasks. If you decide to hire someone to help, then the money you pay out needs to be the ROI factor as opposed to your time.

The Benefits of Social Media

On the flip side let’s look at the advantages of social media for your business. In general, there are 5 benefits a business owner can count on if using social media marketing:

1. Relationship Building: Social media is an excellent way to build relationships with prospects. It provides an opportunity for multiple exposures to your fan base by using a mixture of information and calls to action.

2. Lead Generation: Add followers to your email marketing list by sharing links to downloadable freebies on your social media accounts. This allows you to send follow-up emails and information that can lead to sales.

3. Traffic Generation: SEO optimized blog posts can help your website rank higher for important keywords in the search engines. Plus, when you post blog articles, you can tell your social media followers about them and share the link to your blog to read more.

4. Consistency: Staying top of mind requires frequent marketing touches. With many people spending hours a day checking their Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts on their smart phones, social media gives you lots of exposure to your target market.

Sharing daily social media posts and weekly blog articles keeps the relationship with your customers strong.

5. Customer Service: Social media offers an easy way for customers to reach you with questions, problems, or complaints about your products and services.

This gives you a chance to respond immediately to address the issue. Plus, giving the VIP treatment to customers in need shows that you are a company who cares and goes a long way towards building your reputation online.

Social Media Tactics That Drive Results

What actions should your business be doing regularly on social media to generate the best results?

Here are just a few of the tactics you should be employing on your social media channels:

- Strategically planning social media content in alignment with sales goals – Curate content on a regular basis – Promote LinkedIn Pulse and blog posts on social media – Interact with other social media pages and groups to attract new followers – Create and share social media graphics, photos, videos and infographics – Listen and respond to comments on your own social media posts – Engage in social listening and respond to those who mention you – Promote high engagement posts with social media ads – Review analytics and reporting on engagement posts and reach – Plan opt-in freebies to share on social media for list building – Write and post blog posts – Look for guest blogging opportunities – and so on…

So you can see to really stay ahead of the game, realistically, you need to have a dedicated social media person or hire some help to do it right.

The ROI of Social Media

Because the benefits of social media efforts are often intangible, such as the amount of brand exposure your business would get, it’s often difficult to put an actual number to the ROI of your social media efforts.

But if you look at it this way, just a few new customers every month (depending on what you sell) would more than likely pay the costs of doing social media marketing for your business.

Plus, if you hire someone to manage your social media, it frees you to focus on other revenue-generating activities.

Bottom line, if you aren’t on social media, you are missing out on business. The opportunity cost of not marketing on social media is with lost visibility, less website traffic, slower list building, and weaker relationships.

6 Highly Effective Ways to Position Your Business Brand Like a Super Hero

How Christine Awram Successfully Created a Powerful Brand for Women
I recently attended The Tammy Moyer Woman of Worth Awards Gala event created by the Woman of Worth founder, Christine Awram.

I was honoured to have been nominated in the Business & Prosperity category by Dana Smithers of Empowered Women in Business. In addition, I was doubly honoured to find out I was one of the 5 finalists in that category! Even though my name wasn’t called as the winner, I still felt and feel like a winner.

And the reason for that?

The entire experience Christine creates during and in between events such as this.

Her mantra is “all women are leaders and every woman is a Woman of Worth [WOW]” and it’s the platform on which she’s built a very successful brand. To quote Christine:

“Twelve years ago it was just an idea, and now we’re impacting the global empowerment of women. WOW takes us a step closer to a world where ALL women collaborate and are powerful, prosperous, peaceful and on purpose. I began this adventure with a burning desire to make a difference. There were many times I wavered and despaired, and if there was a mistake to be made I made it, but I kept the vision and kept moving forward. I’m humbled by what we’ve created together as a community. WOW is incredible. My invitation to every woman: Celebrate your magnificence, turn up the volume, step up your leadership game, and GET WOWED.”

Over the years, Christine has created several one-day events and workshops specifically for women, and WOW, these events are incredibly empowering! (Pun intended.)

How does she do it?

It’s all in how she has positioned her business brand.

Business brand positioning is how a business owner come across to others and are perceived by their target market. Christine has found the perfect brand formula that has positioned herself as a champion for women. Wonder how she did it? Here are six tips to replicate her crazy success:

1. Be Clear on Who You Are and What You’re About When it comes to building a strong business brand, it’s imperative you understand how your personality makes up that brand.

Be clear on how you want to be positioned in front of your ideal target market. Then be consistent on how you come across to others in everything you do.

Christine does this beautifully with every encounter someone has with her. Whether it’s a social media post or approaching her in the foyer at an event, she’s consistently clear with her branding message, even when she is sick with pneumonia as was the case this weekend!

2. Be Clear on Who Makes Up Your Ideal Target Market Before you can build a successful business brand, you need to be crystal clear on who you want to serve.

Without this insight, you are throwing spaghetti at a wall hoping something sticks enough to get a sale. Understanding what their needs and challenges are and how you can best serve them is fundamental in building a business brand.

Christine is well aware her target market is dynamic women who wish to be a part of a community of like-minded women for personal and professional growth. She provides and facilitates opportunities for collaborating, showcasing, networking, building community and having fun, all of which her target audience is looking for. 3. Be Passionate About Your Business Have you ever attended a trade show where the person in his or her booth is just sitting behind a table, looking at their phone, completely disengaged from the passers-by?

When someone is not passionate about what they’re doing, they really shouldn’t be doing it. If you are feeling lackluster in your business, either find ways to get your joy back or see if perhaps there’s something else that will help you feel more on purpose.

Christine is extremely passionate about empowering women. Everything she does is with the intention of supporting women to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

4. Use Social Media to Build a Community Social media is a powerful way to build a community full of raving fans. This is one area that Christine has mastered. No matter how busy she is, she will take the time to respond to every single comment and post she’s been tagged in.

Every. Single. Time.

THIS is the way to build a strong community on social media. Make people feel special with positive reinforcement, recognition, and support… your brand will reap the many rewards as a result. 5. Get Help It’s nearly impossible to create a successful business brand by yourself. It really does take a village! Just like I have a team of skilled people on my team who are experts in their own fields, Christine has also invited people into her circle.

Sometimes getting help is not in the form of paying an employee; Christine invites volunteers to help her out in exchange for free admission to her events. She also incorporates sponsorship initiatives to offset costs. Plus her network of collaborators help her find excellent guest speakers she would otherwise never have known about.

6. Have Fun If you’re not having fun and enjoying yourself on a daily basis, then it’s time to re-evaluate what you’re doing.

Christine infuses her deep love of wine and chocolate in to all of her events and social media posts to showcase her fun-loving personality. Consequently, she’s building the brand perception that if you attend one of her events, you can be guaranteed there will be a lot of fun involved.

Everything you do as a business shapes your brand’s positioning. If you want to be branded a “thought-leader” in a specific area of expertise, use some of Christine’s successful tactics in your business marketing efforts.
